Information Centre in Litomyšl was establihed in June 1993 as a private infocentre. Since 1995 it has been a member of the Association of Tourist Information Centres of the Czech Republic. It is located right on the Smetana's square in No. 72, close to the Plague Column.During the main tourist season it runs also a branch at the Castle Hill, the Castle Information Centre.
Its eligibility should be proven with professional memberships and several gained awards:
• Member of Unified classification of the tourist information centres in the Czech Republic – class B
• Member of Tourist Information Centres of the Pardubice Region Network; category regional tourist information centre - verifier: Office of the Pardubice Region
• Member of Association of Tourist Information Centres of the Czech Republic since 1995
• The Official Tourist Information Centre of the Czech Republic, CzechTourism
• The Best Private Czech Information Centre - 2003 and 2006 (competition ran by professional magazine for tourism C.O.T.Business)
• The Most Popular Information Centre of the Pardubice Region, 1st place in years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2019
• The second Best Infocentre in the Czech Republic in 2012, judged by the MF Dnes daily

Employees of the Information Centre regularly create information flyers for the town - Dining, Accommodation, Trip tips, they gather data and collect materials for annual flyer The Events Calendar. They participate in proofreadings of all town's information flyers.
They administer the town's online event calendar and the tourist section content at www.litomysl.cz, they post at website www.vychodni-cechy.info and other online platforms for tourists.
At the exhibitions and fairs of the Tourism they personally represent the town and the region according to demands of the town, associations and clubs of Litomyšl.
The success of the Information Centre in Litomyšl is only possible thanks to financial support from the town of Litomyšl and the Pardubice region, and also thanks to cooperation with local entrepreneurs and all those who don't hesitate to help selflessly in the tourism.
